Please help us purchase a new handheld dental x-ray machine, an urgent need for our shelter animals.

When Zoey arrived at HSBV, she was quiet, subdued, and wouldn’t eat. It was clear she was in a lot of pain. Acting quickly, our Shelter Medicine team discovered Zoey was suffering from severe dental disease, and she was at risk for a life-threatening infection. Reliable x-rays of her mouth were vital in helping our veterinarians identify the source of her pain and plan her extractions. After a successful surgery and a few days of recovery with our dedicated staff, Zoey is back to her old self, chatting, eating heartily, and greeting new friends in our Adoption Center with a smile on her face.

This new handheld dental x-ray will help reduce the days—and sometimes weeks—that animals might otherwise have to wait for a procedure like Zoey’s. The ability to take x-rays quickly, without having to place animals under anesthesia, makes our dogs and cats more comfortable, and most importantly, safer.

Will you help us raise $5,000 by the end of the week to purchase this critical piece of equipment and support our Shelter Medicine program?

Every year, hundreds of animals like Zoey rely on HSBV’s Shelter Medicine program for dental surgery to improve their quality of life, and we need your help purchasing this new x-ray machine to continue delivering the best care possible. Your gift of $15, $30, $100, or more will be the life-changing difference for animals like Zoey, Rhett, Chico and hundreds more who will come to HSBV counting on us for help. With your support, we can ease their pain, and help them enjoy a second chance at life, sooner.

Please help us today.
